From the Coca
Cola bus station in down town San Jose, buses leave and come from
Quepos several times in a day.
Direct Buses
leave at : 6:00 AM 12:00 PM 6:00 PM
The price
is around $5, you can pay in dollars or in colones. It will take
3 and ½ hours to get to Quepos from SJ. There are indirect

from another country to Costa Rica, you will see several orange
taxis outside the airport. These are all legal taxis and they
work for the airport. Red taxis are also legal and they work in
the city and the rest of the country. You will be approached by
many people who want to help you get where you want to go. Illegal
taxis dont carry the same insurance as legal ones do. The
cost from San Jose to Quepos is around $120. You may be able to
negotiate a lower price.

a car ahead of time, the company can send a car to the airport
to pick you up. The drive is not difficult; there is only one
road for most of the trip. The rental car company will give you
directions. There are 3 mountain ranges you will cross before
arriving at the Pacific Ocean. Prices of cars range depending
on the season and the type of car. Fill the following form to
