Farm, private wildlife refuge. Butterfly & Aquatic Tropical
Gardens.
This project
is part of a 25 year commitment to protect this unique 30
acre tropical forest connected by natural tree corridors to
the nearby Manuel Antonio National Park.
Working
closely with Ave Natura, a nature tour company, the reserve
features a Butterfly Garden and special evening "Sound'n
Image" presentations, "The Symphony of Nature".
Fincas
Naturales (The Nature Farm) is a series of comfortable guided
tours on nature trails totaling 1500 meters, conveniently
located a walking distance from many hotels. You will have
the opportunity to spot many local birds species, troops of
Howler, white faced and titi monkeys, and many species of
tropical flora, including 200 years old hardwood trees that
are in English or Spanish. Recommend comfortable shoes and
binoculars.

Tour Options:
- The
Butterfly Botanical Gardens is a uniquely designed garden
atrium with plant and insect exhibits. Duration: 1 hour.
- The
Nature Interpretative Walk and Aquatic Tropical Gardens
features a variety of local Flora and Fauna. Duration: 2
hours.
- The
Butterfly Botanical Gardens and Nature Walk, combination.
Duration: 2.5 hours.
- Jungle
Night Walk "A unique odyssey into the nocturnal world
of the tropical rain forest. Visit the amphibian water gardens
and listen to the nightlife of over a dozen species of frogs.
Departs 5:30 pm."
- Birdwatching
and Nature Interpretative Walk. Duration: 1.5 hours.

The Nature
Farm Refuge hosts the most uniquely designed Butterfly Botanical
Gardens in Costa Rica. Its multi-level walkways enable the
observer to view a variety of local butterfly species and
their host plants located along the perimeter of the atrium
garden.
