ADR Rafting Savegre 3/4 Day – A journey of unsurpassed beauty, jungle vegetation, and exploding whitewater
For the adventuresome beginner and experienced rafter, the class III rapids will have you filled with adrenaline as you paddle hard over the waves.
Along the way, you will be astounded by the awesome canyons, waterfalls, and the primary rainforest of Costa Rica. The Savegre River in Quepos, Manuel Antonio is a magnificent stretch of whitewater that begins its course by winding out of a sparsely inhabited valley in the mountains.
At the lower Savegre, the whitewater rapids are exciting, but not so demanding that you won’t have time to enjoy the Savegre’s spectacular tropical scenery.
This is one of the most pristine rivers in Costa Rica and is surrounded by impressive views of the primary rainforest. Lurking just behind the shroud of lush foliage, you will find a number of truly magnificent waterfalls of the Savegre’s tributaries.
On the 3/4 of the day trip to this beautiful Costa Rica river rafting, you will visit a waterfall and get to explore the natural swimming pools in the area surrounded by blooming heliconias.
We are a family of four, with 2 kids, 7 & 9. Luis and his team were incredible and really made the trip and memorable experience! They even let my son ride on the back of the kayak which he won’t stop talking about!
Our trip with Ulysses and Chris was amazing! The river wasn’t super high, but they made it so much fun. They were expert guides, so friendly. They took us to a pretty waterfall and surfing on the rapids. The river itself was stunning. We were the only boats out and I couldn’t get over the beauty. We loved it.
My husband and our 3 kids (10,14,and 17 years old) are so glad we river rafted class II/III. Perfect for our family! Amazing experience, beautiful scenery. Wonderful guides! Jesus, Moises and all the crew were fun and knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed fresh fruit halfway through our ride, got to enjoy the waterfall and take photos, and ended with a yummy Costa Rican lunch! It was a perfect outing!
This was my first time white water rafting, and it was such a blast! Cristobal was our guide, and made us feel very safe throughout the experience. The other guides were wonderful as well. So friendly and knowledgeable!

What a great end to our vacation. Plenty of rapids with beautiful jungle surrounding it all. It had rained the previous night and there were many small water falls along the way. Nico, our guide was fun and experienced. Pura vida!
This was a great trip down the river and lots of fun. Our guide Johnny was absolutely fantastic and handled the raft and us with expertise. The rapids were rough in places and not rough in others. There were 3 stops during the tour in total one on the way for bathroom one at a waterfall about half way and one on the way out for bathroom and to change your clothes. We had a great time and our 10 year old wanted to go again the next day. He and my wife have never done anything like this before and they both loved it. This is a must do and these guys are fantastic.
