Manuel Antonio Park Private Tour – This option is perfect for small families or social bubbles to experience this beautiful park with their own private guide, and for just a small extra fee.
With the establishment of Manuel Antonio National Park in 1972, the people of Costa Rica decided to preserve for future generations one of the most beautiful and bio-diverse areas in the world. Although it is the country’s smallest national park, the stunning beauty and diversity of wildlife in its 683 hectares is unmatched. Besides, you will have more opportunities to spot wildlife in a shorter time!
Manuel Antonio Park Private Tour contains a charming combination of rainforest, beaches, and coral reefs. These beaches are the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forests. The forest is home to 2 and 3-fingered sloths, toucans, iguanas, the rare and adorable squirrel monkeys, millions of colorful little crabs, and much more. The trail that winds around Punta Catedral affords some spectacular views. The park is easy to reach, south of the town of Quepos in Puntarenas province, and is near a good selection of hotels and restaurants.
In Manuel Antonio Park Private Tour, you will hike through the rainforest along 1,500 meters of easy-access trails in an estimated time of 2.5 to 3 hours, with your own private experienced & bilingual naturalist interpreter, certified by the Costa Rican Tourism Board. Your guide, equipped with a high-powered spotting scope, will help you locate the vast variety of flora and fauna in their natural habitat, you can also use their telescope to take pictures of the animals up close. You will have the chance to spot Howler, white-faced, and Titi monkeys, plus Agutis, and, if you are lucky, the beautiful Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates auratus), all while learning about the diet, habits, and many more facts about the variety of species you’ll encounter during this incredible nature adventure.

Dagoberto our guide was lovely, and once we mentioned we were there for the birds, he went out of his way to make sure we saw some fascinating species. Red-eyed vireos, trogons, black bellied wren, cocoa woodcreeper, chestnut backed ant birds and many more! Would highly recommend!
It was great. Our guide Aldo explained a lot and found many animals for us!
Our tour guide was PHENOMENAL! Beatriz not only was patient in taking her time, but her enthusiasm of information on all the nature/animals was incredible. I learned so much and she made sure we got lots of great photos and videos of the wildlife we saw.
We had a pretty big group of us including one in a wheel chair and she was beyond helpful in navigating the tour to accommodate as well.
Beatriz is an exceptional guide. Her knowledge of the ecosystems is second to none. She speaks perfect English, she is personable and she provides good laughs along the way.
The park was at capacity, which is overcrowded in my opinion, but our guide did a great job to slow things down and provide our group our own space and views of the wildlife and fauna.
Our 88 year old grandmother was with us and Beatriz went out of her way to provide a wheelchair which made accessing the park so much easier.
10/10 would recommend Beatriz as your guide. 6/10 for the park. Would be more enjoyable if it weren’t so crowded.
Our private tour of MA national park was worth every penny! Checho helped us find so many amazing animals that we never would have spotted on our own. He was wonderfully enthusiastic, answered all our questions, helped us get some amazing wildlife photos and gave us a true sense of Costa Rican culture. If you are visiting Manuel Antonio Park, don’t pass up this amazing opportunity!!
We had a private tour of the national park. Esteban was our guide and he did a wonderful job for us. I was in a wheelchair and he made sure I did not miss a thing. He was extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor and spent all the time we needed to enjoy the park to its fullest.
We booked a private tour with Esteban and used the wheelchair path. This tour was perfect for us! We had one person who needed a wheelchair, and the park had one we could borrow during the tour. Esteban knew where to see all of the great animals that were on my checklist to see, plus many more! He was very patient and friendly. Our tour ended at the beach so I would recommend to bring beach stuff, but our tour ended during closing time, so weren’t able to enjoy the beach then.
Chris was our private tour guide. He was awesome. He new about not only the animals, bugs and even the plants and flowers. We saw many things you would never see yet even fine yourself. We will tell veryone that goes needs to have private tour and ask foe Chris
Our family of four (two kids 7&9) had a great private tour with Dagoberto. He reached out the day before our trip and was so helpful in directing us toward parking and where to meet. I was grateful we had him, as he spotted many thing we would not have seen and was able to quickly set the scope up for us to view. He’s very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed chatting with him on our tour. My son and husband are big birders and we’re very excited to see a Potoo thanks to his help! It’s a beautiful park with a lovely beach at the end.
We had a very good tour with Andres. He knows a lot about the park and its nature, is friendly and very helpful. Without Andres we wouldn’t even have seen 10% of the animals he found. He took fantastic photos. We highly recommend to book a guided tour.
We had a wonderful time on our privately guided tour. Our guide, Dagoberto, was very knowledgeable and dedicated to the unique ecosystem of Costa Rica. He was also so thoughtful and kind. We saw so many animals. I highly recommend the guided tour, as it is amazing what Dagoberto was able to spot that we never could have seen on our own. The magnified viewing was so cool. Our family loved the tour and highly recommend.
Esteban was a great guide. Very knowledgeable! Saw both a two toed and a three toed sloth, 3 different types of monkeys and so much more. Worth it! It was definitely had more of a zoo like feel than our Corcovado tour, but was wonderful being able to see all we wanted to and was easy for one of our group with mobility issues to get thru. The beach at the end was spectacular too. Unfortunately the clouds exploded as soon as we got there so we weren’t able to swim, but definitely want to go back even if it’s just for that beach. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time as they only allow 800 ppl in the park a day!!!
Frank was our guide & was fantastic. He takes pride in finding the various animals & not just looking where the crowds are. He is knowledge and happy to go at our pace. He helped us take photos on our phone through the scope. However, he also sent us, through WhatsApp, a bunch of photos he took on his phone. He had a nice candid one of my family that I didn’t even know he took.
HIGHLY recommend a PRIVATE tour.
Beatriz was so fun to have as our tour guide. We saw so many animals on our tour and learned a lot of interesting facts about them. She took a lot of wonderful pictures for us and shared with the group.
We had an awesome experience with Beatriz! She has a passion for the beautiful flora and fauna in CR – we are thankful that she shared her knowledge with us.
We did a private tour which was really fantastic. It’s much better to go in a small group because you have to share the monocular only with few people. We were only three, so we were able to look much longer and could ask many questions. There are really many groups and sometimes it’s a little bit crowded, especially when you see a special animal like a sloth. Our guide Andrés was excellent. He explained a lot and took georgous photos for us.
Our guide, Frank, was great. His knowledge and attention gave us the opportunity to se more than we would have on our own.
Beautiful park!
Andres is a fantastic guide. Knowledgeable about all the animals we spotted, the ecosystem and history of the park. He was able to fully answer all my questions.
Our private tour was the highlight of our trip. Andres spotted so many creatures!! He had historical facts, stories and experiences that he shared with us.
Dagoberto was so informative and friendly! He was able to spot things that we never would have seen otherwise!
My family and I had a great time touring Manuel Antonio with our guide Dagoberto. Along with being very knowledgeable and friendly, he was spotting wildlife that should’ve been impossible to see! His decades of experience shown through in his discussions of the plants and animals. Highly recommend this tour and Dagoberto as a guide!
Wow! My family and I had a great time walking through the national park with Josue (aka “Colochini”). He was professional, friendly and fun! He was able to point out so many amazing plants and animals during our tour while also providing interesting information and facts about the park. I would highly recommend spending a couple of hours in the park with Colochini!
Our visit was exceptional due to our guide Christopher. He was very well versed in both flora and fauna. He found many animals, monkeys, sloths, and more. If you schedule a tour request Christipher.
Had a fantastic experience especially with our guide, Christopher. He provided us the opportunity to see all that was available to see and shared lots of information. We got to see everything we wanted to see and hear about.
Super moment à la recherche d’animaux. Esteban a su trouver crabes, chauves souris, squirell monkey, iguanes, paresseux… une visite riche soutenue par de nombreuses informations.
Un très bon moment.
We had an excellent and most enjoyable time sharing with our very knowledgeable guide, learning and comparing similarities of some of the different animals and plants from Manuel Antonio’s and those Indigenous of the Northeast of the USA. Our guide Mr. Dagoberto was knowledgable and had a sharp eye spotting and pointing out the different life that we alone would otherwise have missed seeing. Mr. Dagoberto was patience and calm, taking time to explain things and making sure that we enjoyed our tour.
We were a party of six. Two children (9 and 12), parents and grandparents. This was the highlight of our vacation! Our guide, Colochini was THE BEST! E left with such wonderful photos and he did such a great job keeping the nine year old engaged. I would do this trip again!
Our private guided tour with Chris was super interesting. We saw many sloths and other animals that we wouldn’t have otherwise and received plenty of information about them and about the ecosystem.
I turned to my husband halfway into our guided tour with Esteban In Manuel Antonio park and said, we wouldn’t have seen any of these animals without Esteban. Without a guide, it would have been a hot walk through an amazing jungle to a picturesque beach, but with Esteban’s keen eyes and ears and telephoto scope, we saw three or four three “smiling” toed sloths, howler monkeys, a nesting bird, a camouflaged (nocturnal) frog on the backside of a leaf, a basilisk lizard, bats and more. He also answered tons of questions about trees and fauna and taught us about Costa Rican culture, history, and conservation. spring for the guide if you can. You won’t regret it!
We had a wonderful time in the park thanks to our terrific guide Andres. There were 8 of us on this private tour and he made sure we all participated. He was so knowledgeable and spent a lot of time explaining about the wildlife and this beautiful country. We so appreciated his help with taking photographs, he had a similar camera to mine and showed me many features I was not aware of. He had a great talent with the spotting scope so we were able to see so much more. He was an enjoyable person to spend the morning with. We loved every minute!
We are so happy we decided to include the guided tour of the national park as a part of our visit to the Manuel Antonio area. Our guide, Andrés, is what really made the experience for us. He was incredibly kind, funny, knowledgeable, and insightful about the park and the many animals that call it their home. We were amazed by how quickly and accurately he could spot the animals and show us through the spotting scope. He even showed us how to take high quality photos of the animals through the scope, and directed us to the most beautiful spots on the beaches. Highly recommend!
We had a great time. Our guide was Beatriz and she was amazing. So knowledgeable and interesting. She took pictures with our phone thru her scope so we got some truly amazing shots. Above and beyond. The park itself is gorgeous and the beach was the best we visited in Costa Rica.
This was the most organized of the tours we took in Costa Rica, and just in general, I really think you need a good guide or you’re going to miss most of what you would like to see. Great communication and Esteban was wonderful. He took into account what we were looking for and went at the perfect pace for us. He also gave us some helpful hints about other locations we visited. Would highly recommend.
Our guide Christopher was amazing! We weren’t able to stump him on any question we had AND he had incredible eyes to pick out all of the hidden creatures and focus his telescope on them. He was friendly, passionate and just a wealth of information. We really enjoyed our hike. We saw so many animals – monkeys, sloths (including 2 babies!), lizards, crabs, birds, snakes, bats, spiders. The best hike we did in all of Costa Rica and 2 amazing beaches to finish up on. Truly a paradise.
We had a great time visiting the national park. We saw so many animals and our tour guide Josue “Checho” was so friendly and knowledgeable about the animals and plants! Highly recommend this guided tour. We ended with swimming time at the beautiful Manuel Antonio beach! We will be back for sure!
We had a private guide, Andreas. Hw showed us more than we would see in a group tour and 99% more than you would see without a guide at all. I HIGHLY recommend booking a guide.
Esteban was fantastic. He spotted essentially invisible animals and was able to get his spotting scope on them for us to see and photograph. We saw a fer de lance viper buried in leaves at the bottom of a tree, two bats clinging to a tree 80 feet up, hummingbirds, two different types of basilisk, black iguanas, squirrel monkeys, white faced monkeys, howler monkeys, various birds, and 3 sloths. Our group of 4 had gone to Carara NP a couple days before and saw almost nothing.
Thanks to our wonderful guide, Beatriz, we had the highlight of our whole Costa Rica trip in Manuel Antonio – She was everything we could dream of: highly knowledgeable (maaan, she knows what she is talking about), we saw so many amazing animals and now let me tell you, what made Beatriz truly special: we went with our two children (6 and 4 years old) and Beatriz just had the best sense and intuition in how to tag along with them… she sensed when they were tired, looked out for something exciting when they didn’t want to walk anymore and engaged with them, even though they hardly speak any English. She explained everything with the patience of a saint and both kids still talk about her – I couldn’t agree more with their excitement!! The second really special thing is Beatriz’ eagle eye for wildlife (including pictures) and the high level of detail and love for all of it… the pictures we took are absolutely breathtaking and that was all her doing. We got to see everything, we could possibly imagine and even more…
What I am trying to say is: BEST EXPERIENCE ever and if you can afford it: book the tour, if you get very very lucky: Beatriz is your tour guide 😍 Thank you so much for this once in a lifetime experience, dear Beatriz, we appreciate it very much!!
My family and I had an incredible time on our private tour of Manuel Antonio Park with our guide Christopher. We couldn’t believe how many animals he found us. He was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot during our time together. Highly recommend a private tour.
Chris was excellent at explaining the plants and animals in the park. And he was great at pointing out where to look to see wildlife: bats, sloths, birds, monkeys. Great tour!!!!
Frank was super with our group of five finding all the animals we wanted to see
He was very informative and knew a lot about all the different animals and plants
Dago took us around the park and was outstanding. His passion for the area and his explanation of things were great. We helped us see so many things. Highly recommend!
We had a very interesting tour with lots of valuable information from our guide Estevan. He showed is snakes, slots, baby slots, different kind of monkeys. We also saw a tucan. Without Estevan we would have seen no animals. Take a guided tour it is well worth
A guided tour is a must when visiting the park, without it we would not have seen most of the wildlife the park has to offer. out guide Esteban was fantastic and he showed us an amazing variety of wildlife in the park, he is an experienced guide and I would highly recommend asking for him if you are taking the guided tour.
We had a private tour with Dagoberto and he was fantastic. He asked the kids what was on their wish list to see and even in the parking lot found two different species of toucans. In the park we saw many sloths (even a baby one), lizards, frogs, hummingbirds, amazing orchids, wild cocoa, monkeys, deer, porcupine and so many more interesting animals and nature. He takes the time to explain the importance of the surroundings.
Thanks for a great tour we will never forget.
Having a guide is essential to enjoying the Manuel Antonio experience and we were fortunate to have an excellent guide in Esteban who seemed at times to conjure up animals and birds out of thin air! And with his telescope, gave us some amazing videos from this park. It’s truly amazing how Costa Rica has preserved their natural beauty and protected their wildlife. And we are so grateful to have Esteban share that beauty with us.
Our guided tour with Andres was incredible; he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient and engaged with my three small kids, and found magnificent wildlife that we would have never experienced without him. He created a fun, once in a lifetime experience for our family! Would highly recommend!
Our big family (13 people total) did a tour with Esteban. He showed us so much wildlife that we would have never seen! Highly recommend this tour and watching animals in their habitat.
Our family of 13 had a fabulous time with Esteban as our guide. Very informative! We then spent time at the beach and hiked a few more trails. Beautiful park!
We were a party of 7 – 4 adults and children aged 11, 8 & 5. It is difficult to hold the interest for that age range of kids, but Dagoberto was superb – he related to them all, praised their understanding and they followed him around like deer!. He not only found animals but spoke to the medicinal uses of all the various plants, trees and shrubs. Highly recommended.
We had an excellent and informative tour with Dagoberto, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. We saw both types of sloth (including a baby!) lizards, bats, birds, porcupine and many other species. Thank you so much for a great day!
We had the privilege of having Esteban as our guide for our private tour of Manuel Antonio National Park and it was such a magical experience – we felt so lucky to have been paired up with him!! Esteban was incredible at finding all kinds of creatures and was so knowledgeable about every one of them. There is no way we would have seen so many animals without his expertise. He was also amazing at taking photos and videos through his telescope for us – something I really appreciated! The highlight of our morning was all of the three toed sloths we saw – including two moms with their babies!! Thank you Esteban for such a wonderful experience that we will never forget!
Manuel Antonio is a great park and one that should be on your must do when visiting Costa Rica. But truly, the only way to do it is with a guide. We had Esteban who was incredible and took the time to teach us a lot about the nature at the park and to help us locate animals on our Need to See list. Couldn’t imagine going to Manuel Antonio without an experienced guide.
Our family of four (2 kids 8 & 5) all enjoyed the tour immensely. Esteban was so knowledgeable and an expert at spotting animals. His pace and commentary were perfect and we feel so grateful to have had the experience. What a treat!
This visit was so memorable- not just because of what the beautiful park had to offer but the wonderful time we had with our tour guide, Dago. I’m not sure we’ve ever had such a wonderful tour guide (and we’ve been in many excursions with guides in past:). He was very knowledgeable about everything in the park (animals, plants etc) but also had such a great perspective on appreciating all that we were seeing. He pointed out the small stuff that most would not even notice but are so important to nature adding a deeper level to the tour. We feel so blessed to have been paired with Dago!
Dagoberto was our guide. He was very experienced and informative. We saw so much and got pictures and video. Took care of everything. Was very good with grandsons and really included them in all discussions and viewings. Wonderful trip. Thanks Dagoberto!
Josue is a great tour guide: very experienced on finding the animals and knowing about their life. We had a great time, also celebrating my wife’s birthday. Great sitings of sloths, monkeys, bats and several birds and insects with close up pics provided.
We had booked a private tour and it was great. We had Frank as our guide and he is an amazing spotter who found ned showed us lots of different animals including sloths, frogs, lizards, spiders and birds and we would never have Bern able to see any of them on our own. Additionally, he is very knowledgeable. He also took a lot of fantastic pictures and shared with us afterwards. Thanks Frank!
Esteban was our tour guide on our private tour. My wife had torn a ligament in her ankle and when I booked they said no problem and had a wheelchair waiting for us. The path is paved and we saw souch wildlife including frogs, crabs, deer, racoons, 2-toed and 3-toed sloths, squirrel, white fave and howler monkeys, and tons of hummimgbirds. Most of the path was accesible, but a couple steep sections required walking. Esteban was very knowledgeable and helped us capture so many pictures with his scope.
Beatriz was our tour guide and she was amazing. We enjoyed her company, her knowledge, and her anecdotes. We saw everything we hoped to see, and more! 10/10 recommend Beatriz and this tour!
This park is great for viewing tropical birds, lizards, sloths and monkeys. There is a beautiful beach with trees, rocks and cliffs. We went on different day trips. This one is a must.
A guide is essential to “see” the hidden animals in this National Park. Our guide Esteban was so helpful pointing out the wildlife and helping us to learn about the native species of Costa Rica.
Esteban loves his job and made it fun.
We had a wonderful adventure with Beatriz as our guide today. It was a wonderful surprise to have a biologist with extensive education guiding us through the park. She is so knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts. She is also super personable and fun to spend time with. Pura Vida!
Not only was Dagoberto kind and incredibly knowledgeable, everyone seemed to know and love him. He found all the animals we hoped to see and more, took great photos and narrated videos for us, and took his time to teach us about the animals and plants. A memorable day for the whole family!
Our guide Dagoberto was the absolute best! His guided tour was not only a fascinating tour of nature and creatures that we would have never seen without a guide, but also a blessing of him sharing his life experiences as well. I highly recommend a guided tour for the park and if you can get Dagoberto, he just may make an impact on your life you never expected.
B. is the best. She is funny knowledgeable and passionate. She takes the time to explain, takes amazing pictures with your phone and what I loved the most is that when another “guide” whistled (making the sounds of a predator) to attract the attention of a sloth she explained this was not ok and why. She truly cares about nature.
Our guide was fantastic, we called him Checho upon request. He met us on time at El Avion and day ran smoothly. He was so insightful and taught us so much about Costa Rica as well as the National Park itself. We saw a sloth! We also saw snakes, bats, laods of crabs and howler monkeys. If we did nit have the guide we would have only seen the crabs! Highly recommended it and the beaches are exceptional.
Our guide, Diego, did an excellent job of showing us around the park. He found animals that we would not have seen and used his tripod to give us an up close look as well as an opportunity to take great pictures. His sense of humor was great! He had knowledge about the plants, geography, and history of the area as well! I recommend using a private guide if you want to get the most from your visit.
Beatriz was such an amazing guide. She was so knowledgeable and tirelessly worked to show us the best views of the animals. I really appreciated her respect for the animals and their environment. She’s a true teacher, I learned so much about the delicate ecosystem that weaves through that forest.
Milenlli was our guide on our amazing private tour. The park is beautiful and she was so knowledgeable! We saw capuchins, howler and squirrel monkeys as well as a couple sloths, iguanas, Jesus lizards, many birds, butterflies, crabs and even a agouti. She also taught us about several of the plants and flowers. Both the beaches were wonderful, though the Manuel Antonio beach is pretty rocky so be careful getting in. We didn’t do any hikes in the park but they sounded like they’d be worth doing. I would absolutely recommend exploring this park as well as doing a private tour!
Milenlli went above and beyond for us. It started at the meeting place where we had a car accident backing up (definitely get full coverage on rental!). We had to wait 3 hours for police and she was invaluable communicating with the police and insurance. Then we we t on our tour and her biology degree was a bonus as she answered our many questions perfectly. We saw several sloths, many monkeys, an anteater in a tree and so much more. It has been the highlight of Costa Rica so far. Don’t miss this park when you’re in Costa Rica!
We went to the park twice, both with and without a guide. Our guide was Beatriz, who was very friendly and full of information about all the wildlife. The guides are essential because they know the habits of the animals, where to find them, and they also communicate with each other when they find something interesting like a sloth with baby. All the guides have high quality scopes which they can use to take pictures and video right on your own smartphone. I took a Nikon SLR camera with a £1000 telephoto lens, but some of the best sloth and monkey pictures I have came from Beatriz’s scope! You can see some of the more common animals without a guide, but using a guide is highly recommended to make the most of your visit!
Beatriz hosted our family of four through the national park. Right from the start she was so friendly, enthusiastic, fun and engaging! It’s incredible the things she could identify by sound, mimicked several different animal sounds, and knew exactly where to look for certain animals she wanted to show us. She is truly an expert in her field – we learned so much about the animals, the park, the rainforest and growth in Costa Rica! This was a fabulous tour that I am so glad we took the time out of our day to experience! Thank you B!
Our group of four had a wonderful morning with Dago, discovering more about the forest and its inhabitants. We watched a medicinal plant shrink and collapse when touched, a deer and faun feeding, a lizard disguised so well it was almost invisible, a stunning butterfly chrysalis, three small bats clinging to a tree trunk, a raccoon on the run, and of course the various monkeys, and several sloths, not to mention many birds.
There were continuous things to see thanks to Dago’s sharp eyes and keen knowledge. Taking photos for us through the scope was so extra!
His sensitive understanding and respect for the forest was most evident. We had an AMAZING time!
Esteban saw and heard animals we would have completely missed if we were walking on our own. He has super-human vision and hearing. He is an expert at getting video and pictures through his telescope! No one will believe we didn’t get our photos off the National Geographic website. Esteban answered all our questions about the animals and plants and had a lot of other interesting information to share. He was friendly, energetic, and so patient with our kids. Yes the tour is expensive but honestly there’s no other way to discover the park.
We had a wonderful time today with Diego! His knowledge in regards to the flora and fauna was extensive and made the tour thoroughly enjoyable. Even the teenagers in the group had fun! Having a private guide is the way to go. We never would have seen all of what he was able to show us and we would never have gotten the pictures he was able to help us get. Being from the northern US we were excited to see things we never have the chance to see in the wild. Such an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend and would do it again!
You should definitely get a guide if you’re visiting the park. Beatrix was amazing. She is so knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the flora and fauna and the park itself. She took her time with us. Helped us take amazing photos and provided a very enjoyable tour for all.
Beatriz was THE BEST guide!
She’s quirky, friendly and like-able.
She’s very educated in her field of study.
She was great at spotting the animals.
If we would’ve gone by ourselves, we definitely would’ve missed all the animals (literally).
We highly recommend Beatriz as your next tour guide.
Thank you Beatriz!
– Your friends from Miami 🙂
The highlight of our entire trip was walking through the park with Josúe. He is so knowledgeable about plants, animals, microclimates, volcanoes, and just Costa Rica in general. He showed us so many animals-including monkeys and sloths. We loved our time with him, our time on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches and all the animals and plants in the park. It was such a special day!
We were a group of four people with Esteban. His knowledge and passion for the animals and their habitat was infectious. He spotted animals we would not have found ourselves. It was a highlight of our trip! Thank you Estaban!
We had a wonderful time in Manuel Antonio thanks to our guide JOSUÉ. He is one of the most experienced guides in the park and he not only spotted numerous animals but also gave us really interesting details about them and answered all our questions and gave us tips regarding our trip. We really enjoyed the tour and the time really flew by as he was super kind to us and to everyone in the park. Thanks once again to JOSUÉ and keep up with the good work!
We had a private tour with Esteban and he was so knowledgeable about the wildlife and the flora and fauna. We would have never seen the things we saw without him. A guided tour is a must.
Frank is very knowledgeable and made our tour so special. I am handicapped and had to use a wheelchair and cane. He helped us with everything and anything we needed, could not have asked for a better guide. He was able to find so many different animals and his knowledge of the flora is extensive. We highly recommend Frank and this company for your tour of the park!
We did a private tour with Mile with a group of 8 persons. Mile is fantastic. She spent extra time with us making sure that our desires for seeing wildlife were met. She is very knowledgeable and easy to relate to during the tour. She has a friendly and warm personality. We all enjoyed here very much and highly recommend her.
The best way to tour this park is in a private tour, and if you can, ask for Dago specifically. He was amazing at spotting all the animals–even the tiniest insects and bats. He was full of information and was delightful to talk with.
Beatrix and Andrew were wonderful guides sharing their knowledge of Manuel Antonio National Park. We met at a nearby restaurant and were thankful to have Beatrix help us navigate the chaos and help us park and guide us through entry into the park. The park is very popular and although their were many many guided groups, we saw sloths, lizards, monkeys, frogs, birds and butterflies. It was nice to have Beatrix as a private guide. Beatrix’s passion for her job is evident and she is very professional and knowledgable. I highly recommend a private tour with Beatrix and Andrew.
We had a WONDERFUL morning tour with Beatriz. She is super knowledgeable about all the animals (mammals, insects, birds, etc.). She was funny and clear and patient with our kids but didn’t dumb anything down. We all learned a lot, saw incredible animals, and had fun!
As biologists, the knowledge was deep, but both have incredible patience with young kids. However, they were great with us adults as well!!😁 We saw an amazing number and variety of animals and learned a great deal of important information about the environment. Beatriz is savvy and insightful, tuning into the vibe of our group quickly. Thanks to both Beatriz and Andrew (Andrew is fortunate to be trained by “Queen B”) – we highly recommend the private park tour!!
We had a private tour with Diego for our group of six. With Diego’s education and knowledge of the animals, flora, fauna and eco systems, it made our experience so rewarding! Without Diego it would have been just a walk thru the jungle! As others have mentioned, we wood have missed most things. Another advantage with a guide is the telescope to view the animals, etc. Also take the beach path back out of the park… It’s beautiful.
Super bien el tour privado. Aprendimos un montón y pudimos ver muchos animalitos en tan poco espacio y tiempo.
This park is a must see if you visit the area. We saw a lot of wildlife like monkeys, sloths, birds and the beaches were stunning. We highly suggest hiring a guide. It makes the experience much more enjoyable. Josue was our guide. He was friendly, funny, knowledgable and answered all our questions. This is a must do tour!
The tour was great! We saw a lot of animals and learned a lot about the area. Josue was our guide and was awesome. My father is disabled and Josue went above and beyond to make everyones experience wonderful.
We had a great tour with guide Franky!
Hey, we had a great time with Diego, he is very personable, knowledgeable and patient. It is clear he cares about the park, Costa Rica and how we take care of the planet. We certainly appreciate using the spotting scope and a great laugh was the monkey nuts.
Only 5 stars available, it deserves 10. Thank you so much for the hospitality! Hope to see you all again soon.
Beatriz was such a fantastic guide. More than perfect English and an encyclopaedic knowledge of all the plants and animals (notably better than other guides we’ve had in national parks across Costa Rica). We couldn’t have hoped to see more animals – and she took incredible photos for us through her telescope. Last but not least, she was great fun and we had such a lovely morning with her.
Bea is amazing! She met us just outside of Quepos as there had been a huge car accident blocking the road and we were stuck in traffic, unable to get to the park. She arranged for another driver to meet us, and led us up a massive hill on foot to get us where we needed to go. Once at the park, she was brilliant! So knowledgeable and was obvious she loves what she does! Would not imagine coming to the park without a guide – there is no way we would have seen all of the animals we saw without her knowledge. Loved her creativity in making sure that nothing stopped us from experiencing our adventure that day!
My group and I had an amazing time with Diego. His ability to spot animals in the park was incredible and greatly enhanced our experience. Plus, he was warm, helpful, and easy-going. I would highly recommend him to anyone!
I came to Manuel Antonio for the second time with my boyfriend and family. The first time I visited the park I only saw the monkeys. Visiting again with Dagoberto was a MUST! He showed us the park in a way I had not experienced prior. He took the time to educate us on the plants, the special characteristics they had, and WOW did we see so many animals and creatures. He was constantly on the look out and it truly amazed us how he was able to spot things from quite a distance. I highly recommend this company and especially Dagoberto who provided us a 5 star experience. It was truly a pleasure getting to know him and being shown the park through his eyes!
